Summary
We are seeking an IT Support Technician to provide first-line technical support and assist with the deployment, maintenance, and lifecycle management of desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices, and other technology equipment. This role will work closely with employees across multiple departments to ensure reliable technology services and a positive end-user experience.
The ideal candidate is a customer-focused professional with strong troubleshooting skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for delivering timely technical support while maintaining a secure and efficient computing environment.
Responsibilities
Desktop Support
* Provide Level 1 technical support for end users across the organization.
* Troubleshoot Windows operating systems and Microsoft 365 applications.
* Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, printer, and peripheral issues.
* Install, configure, maintain, and support desktop and laptop computers.
* Assist users with password resets, account access, and system-related issues.
* Escalate complex technical issues to senior IT team members when appropriate.
Hardware Management
* Receive, inventory, configure, and deploy computer equipment and related technology assets.
* Prepare and deploy workstations according to established standards and procedures.
* Perform upgrades and replacements for desktops, laptops, monitors, printers, and accessories.
* Maintain accurate hardware inventory records and asset tracking documentation.
* Conduct preventative maintenance and ensure equipment is functioning properly.
User Onboarding Support
* Prepare and deploy equipment for new employees.
* Configure workstations, peripherals, and user account access.
* Assist with technology setup and onboarding activities for new hires.
Network & Infrastructure Support
* Assist with basic network troubleshooting and connectivity issues.
* Install, configure, and troubleshoot printers and network-connected devices.
* Perform cable management and workstation setup activities.
* Support conference room technology and audiovisual equipment.
* Assist with office relocations, workstation moves, and equipment installations.
Project & Team Support
* Assist with IT projects, equipment deployments, upgrades, and technology initiatives.
* Maintain technical documentation, inventory records, and support procedures.
* Collaborate with IT team members and business users to resolve technical issues.
* Recommend improvements to support processes and technology standards.
* Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Required Qualifications
* High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
* Experience in desktop support, help desk, or technical support environments.
* Working knowledge of Windows 10 and Windows 11.
* Experience supporting Microsoft 365 applications.
* Experience troubleshooting printers, peripherals, and computer hardware.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills.
* Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
* Valid driver's license.
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience supporting enterprise desktop environments.
* Familiarity with Active Directory, user account administration, and device management tools.
* Knowledge of basic networking concepts and troubleshooting.
* Experience supporting conference room technology and audiovisual systems.
* Technical certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft certifications preferred.
* Associate's degree or technical training in Information Technology or a related field preferred.
